KnowledgeCenter the market leading business process solutions provider to the Insurance and Re-Insurance industry has announced the launch of its Kcenter software product into the Insurance sector.
In addition, KnowledgeCenter has announced that they have successfully signed the first major sale of the product to the QBE Insurance Group, one of Australia's largest general Insurance and re-Insurance groups.
Kcenter is an integrated document management and workflow system designed to deliver powerful, scalable applications over an Internet infrastructure. Based on proven Microsoft technology, including SQL Server and Visual Basic, WKC is a relatively cost efficient solution that enables both Brokers and Underwriters to streamline their document management and business process (workflow) needs.
Kcenter has been selected to provide the Intranet for QBE's European operations, initially serving the 400 users based in its London office. By the end of this year the product will be rolled out to the remainder of the UK and Ireland offices, potentially serving up to 750 users. In addition to providing the Intranet, the inherent functionality provided by the product allows QBE to build DMS, workflow and collaborative solutions from a single product base.
Commenting on the acquisition of Kcenter; Paddy Byrne, Chief Information Officer of QBE said:
"We looked at a number of different products before choosing Kcentre to replace our existing document management product. It is highly configurable and combines all its features as a standard part of the package. We are delighted with the launch of the product and are planning to roll it out to the remainder of our UK and European offices in the near future."
