AJG-RMP extends Kcenter to support document and systems access for 300 agents

Risk Management Partners (RMP) is a subsidiary of Arthur J Gallagher & Co, offering full risk management services to customers in the public sector. RMP's route to market is via a network of 300 regional agents.
Having automated its in-house processes using Kcenter workflow and document management, RMP was ready to extend the boundary of the processes outside the organisation and involve the regional agents directly. RMP opted to have a bespoke Agent Portal developed by a third-party supplier. However, it was crucial that this portal could expose the functionality of the Kcenter software that lies at the heart of RMP's processing capability. The required level of integration between the third-party software and Kcenter was achieved by use of Kcenter's Client Services Application Program Interface (API).
With the portal in place, exposing selected Kcenter functionality in a controlled manner, RMP was ready to allow the regional agents to work directly as part of the overall process. RMP placed an order with KnowledgeCenter in February 2009 for the additional 300 user licences to enable this access. The easy expansion of the system to this additional user population highlights the innate scalability of the Kcenter software as Kevin Osborn, CEO of KnowledgeCenter, remarks:
"It is not unusual for our customers to start with a relatively small implementation and grow their use of KnowledgeCenter over time. Due to the architecture of the software, we know that it can scale-up to service even the most demanding of enterprise-wide requirements."
