The Metropolitan Police agree a two years support contract for their Records Management System

September 18, 2011

KnowledgeCenter are pleased to announce that in partnership with LBi the Metropolitan Police have agreed a two year extension to the existing support contract in place to maintain their Records Management System (RMS).

The Records Management System was first implemented at the Records Management Branch (RMB) of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in 2000, followed some years later by a sister version at the Character Enquiry Center (CEC) to assist with clearances as requested through the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

The RMS was introduced to streamline the old paper based processes that RMB used to record, locate and track their paper based files.

KnowledgeCenter and LBi are hopeful that following the support shown by the MPS in extending this contract that they will also extend the contract to support CEC which is due for renewal in early 2012.
