Kcenter MS Outlook Integration

Revolutionary extension to a key application component

KCenter's MS Office Add-In module currently contains an integration point with Microsoft Outlook which allows simple publishing of emails and email attachments into the Document Management library. However, by working with our customers to extend an already key component, Knowledgecenter have re-engineered and improved these capabilities to offer a new and exciting module.

This extended Outlook integration will offer Kcenter as an 'application within an application' meaning that users no longer have to leave the familiar Microsoft Outlook interface in order to perform standard Kcenter functions.

  • Easy Access

    Easy Access to Kcenter Functionality

    Key Kcenter user functionality available within the Outlook environment now enables the user to view documents from the Kcenter Library, save emails and/or attachments to the Kcenter Library with reference data, and attach documents and/or Kcenter URLs directly from the new message window.

  • Outlook's Folder Structure

    Integration with Outlook's Folder Structure

    Kcenter will appear as a separate folder structure within the Outlook tree view, allowing users to easily browse folders. In addition, users will be able to drag and drop items (emails/attachments) between Outlook and Kcenter's tree view.

  • Automated Reminders

    Automated Reminder to File

    After every opening or sending of emails, Kcenter will ask the user to save the email to the Library. This feature is fully configurable and can be disabled by system administrators if required.

    KnowledgeCenter are currently reengineering the Outlook Integration module for Kcenter, their document management and workflow suite. This updated module is due for release at the end of Q1 2007
